Question: Problems with Font Formatting in HTML Editor
This question relates to category HTML Text Editor
Answer:
If you find that the font of your newly created content page is different than the font of the rest of your website, this is a common problem which relates to Microsoft Word. When you write content in Microsoft Word, when copying /pasting into the HTML Editor application, the font styles you have defined within Microsoft Word are copied into your web page, instead of the default website font styles being applied to your content. The reason for this is that Microsoft has copies over all styles into wherever you paste something regardless of the destination.
There are two ways to address this issue:
1. Copy from Notepad Only: When copying & pasting from Microsoft Word, paste your content firstly into Notepad before copying & pasting again into the HTML Text Editor. The process of pasting into Notepad, removes all the Font and Paragraph style definitions created in MS Word
2. If your content is already pasted into your HTML Editor use the “HTML Cleanup” icon ->
. This will remove any superfluous styles. If this does not work, you will need to redo your content using the method in Step 1.
