Answer:

The Internet is a world-wide network of interconnected computer networks communicating with each other using the TCP/IP protocol. These networks pass data between each other so that anyone connected to one network can communicate with a person connected on another network. Some communications applications which the internet supports are Email, Web Pages, FTP (file sharing), Usenet Newsgroups (message sharing), and Media broadcasting amongst others.
