Redalto Applications
User Management System
A User Management System control access to Closed User Group (Intranet) applications such as the Document Management System. This application is integral to the provisioning of an Intranet or Secure Company Portal.
Within the User Management System, users are given permission to access various applications and even specific features within an application.
Features of the User Management System:
Administrator Control:
Administrator has full access to all web components and can define and/or edit individual users rights & passwords.
User Control :
This allows users to change their passwords, email address and other relevant account information once logged in.
User Groups:
User groups allow the site administrator to define user access on a group level. This means, users need only be assigned to a group and therefore inherit the access permissions of the group. Handy if you have many intranet members.
User Sign-up: *
Users can sign up for access to the secure area. Automatic email validation (confirmatio email) is provided to ensure integrity of the user.
Admin Approval*
If this option is enabled, the administrator must approve accounts before they are able to login to the protected area.
Suspend / Delete Users:
The administrator has the ability to suspend individual users or delete them entirely from the system.
Automatic Email Notifications: *
Email notification templates are viewable in the Admin area, including the ‘confirmation required’ email, ‘sign-up approved/rejected’, and account suspension.The email notifications can be edited by the administrator at any time.
Fully Integrated
The usermanagement system is fully integrated with all Redalto Web Applications. This means that the Administrator can define access to multiple applications using the same system. For example, define access permission to various sections of the intranet like the bulletin board and/or document management system.

Membership Database
An online membership database provides centralised administration of the users who subscribe or pay to get access to a particular service for a finite period of time. The membership database enables tracking of user subscription periods, renewals and expirations.
Example of Membership Databases include:
- Registered members of a Professional Body
- Exclusive/VIP access to newsletters and promotions (eg, retail specials, or night club events)
- Premium support portal access or mailing list subscriber
The Membership database facilitate efficient processing of memberships subscriptions through automated scripts. This includes sign-ups, subscription payments, and terminations and renewals.
Features of the Member database :
- Members join via an online membership web form
- Email confirmation for user improved application integrity
- Subscribers will only appear in the database once they have confirmation via email and will automatically be put into a ‘membership pending’ status (or similar)
- Member details are stored in an online database. A web based administration site (Admin Console) will provide secure access to the database, and provide functionality to view and further process these applications.
- The Admin Console provides filtering of members for better management (All Members, Pending, Expired) as well as provide the ability to Sort and Search the member database
- Memberships applications are manually reviewed via the Admin Console and approved/rejected using a simple member edit function. Once processed, an email is automatically sent to the client stating he/she has been approved/rejected. The status of the member can be changed at any time via the online database.
Message Boards & Online Forums
(Also known as; Discussion Boards, Bulletin Boards)
A Message Board is a general term for an online messaging system, where you can post a message online for the general public to view. People read your message and can respond or contribute to the discussion if they wish. The message/response system thereby creates a discussion thread which any non-active participant can read and observe. Discussion boards are a useful medium for sharing of information and tips with other community members, thereby creating a wealth of online information.
Redalto can implement and customise a Message Board / Online Forum solution tailored for the needs of any business. Discussion Board features include, but are not limited to:
- Multiple forum categories
- User generated forum topics
- User registration and account profile
- Send private user-to-user messages *
- Manage user profies and private messages *
- Define forums as private or public
- Moderate forums
- Define moderators on a per forum basis*
- Search topic titles and/or content
- Include attachments in posts
* These features are only availble in an advanced Message Board implementation which is otherwise known as an Online Forum.
Events Calendar
An online calendar (or 'shared calendar') allows for publication activities and events which can be viewed by a larger audience, whether they be customers, staff or club members.
A Online Calendar can be used for a number of different purposes including:
- Publication of company events (eg, shareholder meetings)
- Providing a ‘What’s on’ guide
- Communicating training schedules
- Booking of shared meeting resources (rooms, facilities, etc)
- Displaying staff availability/holiday schedules
Redalto Communications can custom build an Online Calendar which includes but is not limited to the following features:
- Live editing of events/activities published online
